Meet Benoît
Hello, I’m a French expat living in Nijmegen. While I do understand a bit of Dutch, I can’t speak it fluently yet.
On my free time when I’m not shooting, I mostly do ballroom dancing (stijldansen).
My photography Journey
I am a self-taught photographer. Few years ago, I started by doing landscapes; then I briefly shifted to cars and dancesport photography before focalizing on the art of portraiture.
My goal is to create soft and respectful images that exhibit a simple, sensual, and intimate atmosphere. I believe such feeling cannot be found by directly displaying the body as an object, but by engaging and connecting with the subject. Doing so, I am able to capture natural expressions of the model rather than frozen smiles. =)

My Style
My photographic style is mainly focused on lingerie portraiture, sensual & artistic nude.
It takes its roots into the Russian school, mostly using natural light. In that regard, some of my favorite photographers are Sergey Chmykhov, Daniel Fehr, Stefan Grosjean, Samuel Betkowski, Dmitry Arhar, and Rylsky.
My vision of Nude Art
I aim to produce images of timeless value and I try to capture the natural beauty & feminity of women.
One may think that the absence of clothing makes it easier to do a portrait. However, capturing the human body in its most natural state while remaining tasteful isn’t as simple as it might sound.
Firstly, the technique; it is very easy to shift from what could be a sensual image into a crude one. Secondly, the perception; because many people associate nude images with hyper-sexualization (e.g. Instagram’s nipple censorship policy) or pornography.
As a result, I seek to expose the naked body while keeping a sensual, authentic, and intimate aesthetic.

“In the Nude, all that is not beautiful is obscene”
